Why trust it

The note carries your name. So it shows its work.

Every populated field carries the words from your own dictation that produced it. You are not trusting a summary — you are checking a quote.

You said

grade four changes medially, bone on bone

Findings

Grade IV chondral loss, medial compartment

You said

blood loss about one fifty

Estimated blood loss

150 mL

If Otto cannot point at the words behind a line, it does not write the line. That single rule is what makes the draft checkable in the time it takes to read it.

It will not fill in a blank

If you never said the estimated blood loss, the field stays empty and tells you so. Otto does not reach for a typical value. A plausible number you did not say is more dangerous than no number at all, because it reads as though you checked.

You sign it, or it does not exist

What Otto produces is a draft. You read it, change what you want, and sign it. Nothing is finalized on your behalf and nothing is sent anywhere while you are still deciding.

Your recordings are not a training set

Audio is used to produce your draft and then deleted on a fixed schedule. It is not kept to improve a model, and it is not shared.

One thing Otto does not do

It does not write into your EMR.

There is no integration with Epic, Cerner, or anything else. When your draft is ready you copy it across, or export it, and paste it where it belongs. That is a real extra step and we would rather you hear it from us than find it on your first case.

It also means Otto cannot alter your chart, cannot file anything under your name, and needs no access to your hospital’s systems to work.
