How it works

You already narrate the case. Otto is the part that was listening.

No new habit to build, no device to hold, nothing to touch. One phrase starts it and one phrase ends it.

  1. 01

    Say the word

“Begin dictation.” Otto hears it through AirPods or other microphone devices. Nothing to touch, nothing to distract from the case.

  2. 02

    Talk through the case

Narrate the way you already do for the room. Implants, findings, blood loss, closure. Say “stop dictation” when you are done.

  3. 03

    Review the draft

By the time you have scrubbed out and washed your hands, a structured draft is on your phone. You edit, you sign.

One case, on the clock

A right total knee, start to draft. Everything in quotation marks is something you say out loud, exactly as you would to the room.

  1. 07:58

    You scrub in

Otto is listening for one phrase and recording nothing.

  2. 08:04

    “Begin dictation”

A tone in your ear confirms it heard you.

  3. 08:11

“Right total knee, grade four medially, bone on bone”

  4. 08:46

“Persona, size four femur, three tibia”

  5. 09:22

    “Blood loss about one fifty”

  6. 09:31

    “Stop dictation”

Recording ends. If you forget, it stops itself after a stretch of silence.

  7. 09:38

    Draft ready

Structured, with every field showing the words that produced it.

What happens when it goes wrong

What if it mishears me?
The transcript sits beside the draft, so a wrong word is visible rather than buried. Otto also learns the phrases your voice reliably produces, so the commands get more reliable the more you use it.
What if I forget to say stop?
Recording ends on its own after a stretch of silence. You are never left recording an empty room for an hour.
What if I never mention blood loss?
The field stays empty and says so. Otto does not fill in a typical value, because a plausible number you did not say is worse than no number at all.
What if the case goes sideways?
Say the wake word again and keep talking. Otto captures as many passages as you need and assembles them in order.

Try it on your next case
